Complete transparency about what our AI does, what it doesn't do, and how your career data is used and protected.

What Our AI Does

Analyzes Your Resume: Reviews formatting, keywords, and content to suggest improvements. This analysis happens in real-time when you upload or edit your resume.

Tailors Content to Jobs: When you provide a job description, AI adjusts your resume to highlight matching skills and experience. You review and approve all changes.

Matches You with Jobs: Compares your profile with available positions to calculate match scores. This helps surface opportunities that align with your background.

Provides Career Guidance: Answers your career questions based on your profile, industry trends, and best practices. This is conversational AI that adapts to your situation.

Simulates Interviews: Generates relevant interview questions, evaluates your answers, and provides feedback to help you prepare.

What Our AI Does NOT Do

Never Applies Without Your Permission: AI can draft applications, but submitting requires your explicit approval every time. You control what goes out.

Never Sells Your Data: We don't sell resumes, personal information, or usage data to third parties. Ever.

Never Shares Data with Employers (Unless You Choose): Your profile and resumes stay private. Employers only see what you explicitly send through applications you approve.

Never Uses Your Data to Train Models for Others: Your career information is used only to improve your experience. It doesn't become part of a shared training dataset.

Never Creates Fake Information: AI only works with the information you provide. It doesn't invent skills, experiences, or qualifications you don't have.

What Data We Store

Profile Information: Name, email, LinkedIn data (if you connect), career goals, and preferences.

Resumes & Documents: All versions of your resume, cover letters, and related files you upload or create.

Application History: Records of where you applied, when, and with which resume version. This helps you track progress.

Career Coach Conversations: Your questions and AI responses are stored so you can review past advice. You can delete these anytime.

Interview Practice Sessions: Transcripts and feedback from practice interviews, stored for your review and progress tracking.

How Long We Keep It:

Active account data: Retained while your account is active
After account deletion: All personal data permanently deleted within 30 days
Anonymized analytics (no personal identifiers): May be retained to improve service

Third-Party AI Providers

We use OpenAI's GPT models for resume analysis, career coaching, and interview practice. When you interact with these features, your data is sent to OpenAI's API.

What OpenAI sees: Resume content, job descriptions you provide, and your questions to the career coach. OpenAI processes this data to generate responses but, per our agreement, does not use it to train their models or share it with others.

What OpenAI doesn't see: Your name, email, payment information, or application history. We send only the minimum content needed for AI processing.

Data encryption: All data sent to third-party AI providers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS protocols.

You Own Your Data

View Anytime: Access all your data through your dashboard. See what we have stored about you.

Export Everything: Download all your resumes, conversations, and application history in standard formats (PDF, CSV, JSON).

Delete Permanently: Request full account deletion and we'll erase all personal data within 30 days, as required by GDPR and CCPA.

Opt Out of Features: Don't want AI suggestions? Turn off specific features while keeping your account active.
